“SARAH’S PANTRY”

the Community Food Pantry at Evangelical remains OPEN

Are you in need of food or essentials at this time?  Stop by or give us a call so we can help.

Pantry Hours:   2nd & 4th Thursdays of each month – 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm

(Sundays following worship:  10:30 am – 12 noon or by appointment)

     If you are in need of food or anything else, please call:   Kim: 518-421-2939.  If you come to the church building during the Open Pantry Hours, please ring the doorbell by the door of the Parish Hall and someone will come to the door to help you and bring you food if needed.  In case of an emergency, please call Pastor: 518-421-8493 or 518-301-5621.

     If you would like to donate non-perishable foods or canned goods, the pantry collects on the days it is open or you can call if you have items that need to be given on a different day. 


(“Sarah’s Pantry” was named after Abraham’s wife, Sarah, who fed some “strangers” who came to talk to Abraham and tell him he would be a father (in his old age) and that Sarah would give birth to a son, Isaac (which means ‘laughter’ – as she laughed when she heard the news… being an old woman too. How was she to give birth at such an advanced age?  God kept his promise and a son was born to them.)
