Well, right before the COVID pandemic hit, this was an eventful February for the Missions Board as a team ventured to Water Mission, Charleston,  SC, to volunteer with whatever we could do to help further their mission of providing clean water and the Living Water, the Word of the Lord, in over fifty needy countries around the world, as well as with emergency situations such as the devastating earthquakes and hurricanes. Water Mission also aids in disasters that strike in our own country as well, bringing safe water to any situation.

Our team helped with many and varied tasks. Those whose tasks were in the warehouse did everything from taking inventory in the office to building 50 crates for an upcoming memorial service for Mrs. Molly Greene, co-founder of Water Mission, to helping prepare for the upcoming annual Walk for Water in Charleston. Every year Water Mission holds a huge WALK for WATER in Charleston and they’re hoping for over 7000 this year!

Our church liaison person, Kevin Herr, has taken another position with Water Mission and is now the project manager for Central and South America. Congratulations Kevin!  We met and spent time with our new liaison JD Meeder and new volunteer coordinator, Brittanie Rees.  Thank you to the whole organization for allowing us to be a part of the greater mission of Water Mission.

Thanks to a family member’s sibling for housing our team this month also.  We enjoyed staying there. Thank you to everyone for your prayers and support.

What a true blessing and life-changer this trip was!  Praise the Lord!
