Evangelical is committed to a Christian education program for all ages that fosters the strengthening of faith in Christ and deepens knowledge of Christian doctrine and ethics.
Instruction is founded on the solid rock of Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions.
The assumption of the program is that the Bible is truly the inspired Word of God that is not to be pre-empted by modern philosophies or trends. The Confessions, collected in the Book of Concord of 1580, faithfully reflect the Church's public interpretation of the Holy Scriptures.
In accordance with ordination vows, the pastor regards faithful teaching to be at the core of pastoral leadership. This commitment of pastor and people is to be reflected in the Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Bible studies, theological studies, and Confirmation program of the congregation.
We pray that Christ, the Word made flesh, would keep us faithful. We praise the Holy and Blessed Trinity, One God in Three Persons, who has created, redeemed, and sanctified us. May our faith in Him be strengthened and our understanding increased.
- Sunday Morning Adult Study
Sunday morning following Worship: 10: 30 A.M. - meeting in the Council Room
Teacher: Curt Van Steele, a deacon at Evangelical, is an amazing teacher who is extremely knowledgeable of the Scriptures.
Lively discussion ensues each week as we delve into the Word of God for our lives. The Adult Study continues on Sunday Mornings throughout the year with Curt, following Worship and Fellowship Time. He brings to this study his extensive knowledge of God's Word. Grab a snack at the Fellowship Time and then come on in to the study!
- Tuesday Evening at Curt's home - open to all - 7:30 pm
Teacher: Curt Van Steele, a deacon at Evangelical, has been teaching and preaching for almost twenty-five years.
This study time is a casual gathering of people who seek knowledge of Scripture as well as the fellowship of fellow Christians. Drop in anytime. Curt's study meets every Tuesday evening at 7:30 pm.

Teacher: Pastor Peter DeBartolo, pastor at Evangelical, brings the Scriptures to light with his over thirty-nine years of teaching and preaching experience, and helps make it real and usable in daily life.
This study group is working its way through the books of the Bible. We are working our way through the Bible studying each book in depth over several weeks. Stop in anytime as you will never be lost or behind in the conversation.
- Women's Morning Bible Study, 2nd Thursday of each month at 9:00 am
Teacher: Kimberly Greiner, women's ministry leader, brings new perspectives to Scripture through various study books and topics. Kim has been leading Bible study and women's retreats for over ten years and is a thoughtful, caring leader.
This study follows through different women's study books and is open to all women. Join in anytime. This study meets the 2nd Tuesday morning of each month at 9:00 am at Evangelical.
- Men's Prayer Breakfast & Bible Study, 8:00 am
Teacher: Pastor Peter DeBartolo, pastor at Evangelical, leads this morning's gathering through various topical studies with lots of lively discussion and learning. Current topics are related to biblical study which makes for a terrific time of learning.
All men are welcome to join us for a great breakfast prepared by Pastor and for the Bible study time. The Men's Prayer Breakfast meets the 2nd Saturday morning of each month at 8:00 am.
